More Charlie Stories!

This morning,  I was putting Jerri Lynn in her crib for a nap upstairs and I heard Charlie say, "Mommy,"  I went downstairs and he was in our bathroom sink and had blood on his face.  He had attached a blade to CJ's razor and was shaving like his Daddy.  Once again- God protected him.  He had only cut his lip.  He is into everything and I truly can't take my eyes off him for one second.
He is sooooooooo sweet to Jerri Lynn, but we did have a little mishap and God protected her. We were at my mom's a couple of weeks ago and Jerri Lynn was asleep on my mom's bed.  She started crying and I guess that Charlie tried to pick her up and bring her to me.  Mom went back there and Jerri Lynn was face down on the floor!  AWWW!  Thank the Lord she was crying- so I knew she was okay and it was also a blessing that the bed was not really high.  He won't be doing that again.  He felt sooooo bad and it was sad.  He said,"I sorry Jerri Lynn,"  and he went and got her lolly for her.  He is so cute loving on her.  He says, "Baby- cute- I lobe you JerLynn!"

Cooking!

Oh- WOW!!!  What a day- I was nursing Jerri Lynn in the den and Charlie was in the kitchen.  I heard him in there, pushing his stool around and then I smelled burnt plastic.  Well, Charlie decided to cook a flashlight, magnet, picture of my nephew Benjamin, crayon and MY CELL PHONE in the microwave!!!!  He was standing in front of the microwave watching it go around and burn.  He truly had a guardian angel watching over him-the phone could have exploded.  There were sparks and smoke!

Later that day, we went to music class and on the way home, Jerri Lynn was screaming and Charlie had just fallen asleep.  The light turned green and I went and the car in front of me did not!  The nice man that I bumped into was a chiropractor in town and said we didn't have to call the police and that I could just pay him for the damage.  Our car didn't need any repairs and the man's was $466!  So, we had an expensive day.  Once again- the Lord protected us!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Day- oh what a day!!! Santa did come and let Charlie lots of toys. We read the Christmas Story the night before and left Santa cookies on the fireplace. Jerri Lynn tried to stay up Christmas Eve to watch for Rudolph - I think! Anyway, Charlie came downstairs with Ree Ree in his Lightening McQueen bathrobe and was excited to see more presents, however he started to open them and soon lost interest. He was most excited about the Sprite in his stocking! Daddy said he didn't feel too good and he really didn't- he had the flu and strep throat- ahhhhhh! We didn't finish opening Christmas presents until a couple of days later, because CJ couldn't be around any of us. We didn't want to get anybody else sick- he stayed in the upstairs and could not come down for anything!! We were so happy when he started feeling better! I needed the help. Thank goodness Mom was still here!
