Another Snow Day and Paperwork!

We had another snow day!  It snowed over 5 inches yesterday and was so beautiful!  Lots of neighborhood kids came over to our house, because we live by a good hill! We had so much fun and missed Daddy so much.

We received Lifeline's paperwork for our home study and Dillon's- that will keep us busy for a LONG while!  Praying it all happens in God's perfect timing.

Snow Day!

Today we got great news from Korea- Eastern Social Welfare has approved us to officially adopt AhRin!!  Yeah!!! Now, we are waiting on Lifeline for our home study. They have to become an authorized provider from Dillon, so praying this happens rapidly.

It snowed last night, so no school today.  CJ had to fly out to Germany this morning and the roads were icy on the way to the airport, but he made it.  Charlie woke everyone up at 6:20- "It's snowing, it's snowing, it's snowing,- it looks like a winter wonderland"! Lots of neighbors came to play with us and we had so much fun!Thank you Lord for the beautiful snow!!

Basketball, baseball and turtle search

Charlie had his last basketball game yesterday for the Celtics! Daddy and Coach Brad worked hard with these fellows.  Charlie finally scored his 1st goal at the last game!  We were so excited and proud of him!!

Emily, Jon, Asa and Aaron got to be there for it, so that was very fun!  Jerri Lynn is sad for basketball to be over, because she enjoys going to the games to play with Elizabeth.  That is Asher (Charlie's friend's) sister!  Tae hopes he can play soon!

After the game, Charlie had to go have evaluations for baseball. CJ took him and they had 5 pitches and were to run on the 5th.  He had played fall ball- machine pitch, but was very much just learning to hit the ball.  He only had about 2 hits the whole season.  Well, on Saturday after not practicing at all he hit 3 balls in a row- and the coach said, just go ahead and run!!! WOW! Not sure where that came from, but he has one proud daddy!!!

Saturdays are typically chore days around here, so we were cleaning out the tortoises' cage- the kids love to let the turtle run around the back yard and get some exercise.  Charlie told Jerri Lynn to watch the turtle and he was going to play on the zip line.  She decided to play too- after about 15 minutes of fun on the zipline, I said, "Where is the turtle?" Of course, no one could answer, so we started our frantic search! We looked all over the back yard, in the neighbors yard, down the roads etc… We couldn't find him anywhere:( Daddy was getting upset over the lack of responsibility.  I prayed with the kids about the turtle and was completely sure he was GONE FOREVER!!!!  Everyone was crying and Charlie said, "I don't want him to die", we prayed that God would protect Buck- the turtle and that he would bring him home to us.  As soon as I said, "AMEN", Daddy told the kids to come look- it was BUCK!!!!!  He had buried himself in some dirt behind the detached garage!  Thank you Lord for answering our prayer!

We asked Charlie what he learned about the experience- he said, "Never let Jerri Lynn babysit Buck again"!

Tae kept saying, "I pet the turtle, he so cute"

Thank you Lord for leading us back to the turtle!

Here we go again……...

            Introducing AhRin Jacobs!!!!

Today, we accepted a referral for our precious little daughter in South Korea!  God has handpicked her for our family and we couldn't be more humbled and blessed.  AhRin is 18 months old and we probably won't get to meet her for 1- 1/2 years, but we will be diligently praying for her and completing paperwork to bring her to her forever family. When Tae 1st saw her picture a little over a week ago, he said, "She's on my team"! "That my sister!" Jerri Lynn, said, "Momma, I have always wanted a sister, can we please get her!", Charlie said, "Momma, that's our little Korean girl we have been praying for". We have prayed for her since the moment we saw her on Dillon's website.  We prayed if it was God's will for her to be in our family, that he would bring her to us. Well, we found out today that our agency selected us to be her parents!!  We love you AhRin!
