AhRin pictures and video!!

Yesterday we got the best present! We got a video of AhRin!! She is so adorable- this is the first time we have seen a video of her! She was feeding herself and then playing with blocks.  I can't get the video to upload to this blog, but she would clap when she stacked the blocks and say, "Uh-oh" when they fell down. I love this little girl so, so much!

Below are the measurements we got of her the weight is in kg.  So, she is 23 lbs.

Happy Resurrection Day!

We had a beautiful Sunday morning to celebrate our Risen Savior!!  We went to church and had great lunch with mom, and Auntie Em, Uncle Jon, Asa and Aaron!

What an amazing, living God we serve! He was crucified for our sins, was buried,  resurrected and appeared to many before ascending to heaven. People were killed for their testimony that He was alive. Many people will die for what they "believe" to be true, but no one will die for what they know is false.  He is risen, he is risen INDEED!!!  Happy Easter!!

Church Egg Hunt and Charlie's Home Run!

Our church at James Clemens in Madison had a super, fun Easter Egg Hunt.  There were 2000 eggs for about 25 kids! We had hot dogs and hamburgers and great fellowship.  Charlie had to be at his baseball game early, so wasn't able to join us.  However, we got to go to his game afterwards.  He has been so blessed by having such a great season and a great coach (his daddy)! They hadn't won any games this year until Friday night and they won big 19-2!!! They were so excited.  On Saturday they played the same team again and won again. Charlie had 2 home runs!! Way to go Char!! He was so sweet Friday night after the game, even with all his excitement of winning for the 1st time, he said, "Mom, I think we will let the other team win tomorrow, so they aren't sad"!  What compassion he has!  I told him to do his best no matter what!  I continue to try to teach him that no matter what he does, do it for the glory of God!

EASTER EGG HUNT- Field Trip!

Charlie's 1st grade class took a field trip to our house!  When I was a little girl, every Easter- my class at school would walk to our house from Holly Hill and have an Easter Egg hunt in our yard, followed by a fun party.  I wanted to continue the tradition for my kids, so this year Charlie's class came!  It was a perfect day.  Sunny, no humidity, warm/not hot- just beautiful!  We had our home study earlier that day, so CJ and I were rushing around to hide eggs and get the kids where they needed to be, house cleaned, food prepared.  Mom had planned to come help me, but my brother needed her to keep Mia and Jacob, so she couldn't be here. God worked it out that another mom at the school, picked up JL and Tae and Char for home study, took Char back to school, came and help me prepare for party and then went back and got Char for party- what a blessing!!! Thank you Courtney!!!!

LAST HOME STUDY VISIT!

Thursday, we completed our last home study visit!!!! Gisella came to our house and she talked to all the kids about what it would be like to have a new sister.  We are so excited to be finished with this part!  She said it will probably be 2 weeks before everything gets finalized and it gets sent to Dillon.  CJ stayed up really late completing some adoption education and we got it all finished before she came! Now, we have to have psychological evaluations, due to some changed requirements in Korea.  Once our home study is completely finalized, we can set up a Lifesong account and begin fundraising to bring our little girl home! We are so blessed that God has chosen us to be AhRin's parents and I can't wait to see how He works in our journey to get her. Join with us in praying that the home study will be processed rapidly and sent to Korea ASAP!

Interview #2 and new photo!

Yesterday, we had our second visit with our social worker- finally!!!! We had to meet individually and were asked lots of questions about our family and our relationship.  Our CANS (Child abuse and neglect forms) came in today- this is one piece we had been waiting on! CJ and I have been diligently working on adoption education requirements. We listened to a 4.5 hour workshop on the way to the beach and then started another 9.5 hour one.  Great techniques!

Mary Anne, our Dillon social worker sent us some pictures of when Dukkyung was in Korea last month.  Jerri Lynn said, "Aww- she is feeding herself, I guess she won't need me to feed her a bottle."  Tae said,"That is my sister in Korea", Char said, "She is so cute"!

Her foster mom and sister look so, so sweet!  I can't wait to get a video of her in a couple of weeks!
