We had an amazing Labor Day weekend in NH, visiting CJ's family.  We got to spend sweet time with Nanny (94) and Memere (88).  The kids drew them pictures and we delivered them! Memere gave all the kids $5! Jerri Lynn had fun showing us all her dance moves and Charlie did a karate demo for them.  Tae- kept saying, "high five"!  Grampa got tickets for the boys to go to their first Red Sox game.  The boys loved all the food!  They had fun doing the wave and trying to catch a foul ball. Grandma, mommy and Moots went to a special coffee house and had a tea party, watched Tangled, shopped till we dropped (Grandma went on a shopping spree for her only granddaughter) then ate yummy Mexican. We went to Lake Opeechee and the kids had so much fun swimming all the way to the raft. Charlie even kayaked across the lake by himself!Moots built beautiful sandcastles and Tae swam and swam!! Great weekend with tons of fun memories!

My mom was back at our house in Decatur, recovering from surgery. She is so independant and wanted to be left alone! She took care of Porter and "Buck the turtle".  However, Buck seemed to have wondered off. Mom looked everywhere for a new turtle.  When the kids got home and asked about him- she had a good Ree Ree answer and they promptly made Missing Signs complete with photos of the turtle! We hand delivered them to several neighbors!  Ree cleaned our house so nice, so it was wonderful to come home to a clean house.

Sweet Tae has had 6 ear infections in 6 months and needed to get tubes in his ears and also circumcised at the same time- so, last Thursday the ENT and urologist coordinated their schedules and Tae had surgery!  He is a new child!  He can hear and is already saying more words!!!  He tries to repeat everything we are saying!  CJ has been so compassionate to Tae since his surgery.  He is in some pain from the circumcision.  CJ made the mistake of telling Charlie and Jerri Lynn about the circumcision and now many of their friends know!  Charlie prayed, "God, I need to tell you about something-well, it's private- Tae's penis- can you please heal it!"  So, so, funny and precious!!!

Yesterday, Charlie had to go get a shot and was pretty brave.  Jerri Lynn needed her daddy to go with her and from the minute she got in the car she cried, "I don't want to get a shot"!  Good news is that she didn't need a shot, but clinched on to CJ's tie the whole time the Dr. was examining her.  She did have to have a "Pringle Fick" (finger prick- Charlie named it this) and you could have heard her yell in the building next door!

Daddy was asked to speak at the Middle School for Veteran's Day.  He did a great job and we were so proud of him.  He spoke about his experience in Iraq!

Jacob's Baptism and Bethany Joyful Sound

Jacob was baptized by Suzanne's Daddy- so special  Bethany's singing group (Joyful Sound) did a beautiful concert for everyone.

Princess Belle came for Jerri Lynn and Avree's 3rd Birthday Party.  This was at the Barfield's Lakehouse.  So much fun celebrating with cousins.
