AhRin (pronounced Erin!) 27 months

So, my new Korean friend said AhRin's name is pronounced Erin!!  I put it in google translate and she is right- we have been pronouncing it wrong the whole time!!  We got these pictures a few weeks ago and once again, bittersweet.  She is just precious, but growing up without us.  We are praying that her process his expedited! So cute with a little bow! She is looking at the picture that Jerri Lynn drew her!

New Korean friend!

So, God does cool things all the time! I had read on Facebook about a family that recently adopted a little girl from Korea.  Her transition was going great and she really understood about foster family and newly adopted family.  The reason was, because the mom was Korean, lived in the US, so she could speak Korean to her and ease her grief by being familiar from food, to appearance and most importantly the language.  I read this on a Monday a few weeks ago, so I began praying that God would put someone Korean in our life that could ease this transition for AhRin.  I wanted not just someone that could translate, but someone to be our friend!  On Tuesday, I posted on the Facebook page that I needed someone to take a package to AhRin if anyone was traveling soon.  A lady posted under me: "I need someone to take a package for me too, and it is nice to see someone that lives close to me- I live in Madison." Turns out she is a wonderful Korean lady, whose husband is part Korean and they live in Madison, only 20 minutes from us! God answered our prayer!!! We had lunch the following week and we hope to get together again soon!  Just a little confirmation from God and a huge blessing!

Princess and Pirate Night!

"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us" Ephesians 3:20

We had no idea how many people to expect to come to our fundraiser.  We had hoped for maybe 25, but there were 68 children, plus parents!! WOW!!! 

Our niece, Kailee arrived with her posse, late Thursday night!  She brought beautiful pirate and princess cookies that were donated in exchange for a Princess party.  Emily Fitchlee, Kailee's best friend, Titus, Buck, Addie, Avree, Bo, Eli and Stephanie all piled in the mini van and took the long trip to share in our exciting time!

We had so many wonderful friends that loved on us and helped us do everything!

We cleared over $3500!!!!  Thank you Lord for providing for us to bring our daughter home!

Happy 2nd Birthday AhRin!!!

Today is AhRin's 2nd birthday.  It is bittersweet.  We so wish we could be there to celebrate with her.  We were able to send a care package with another family that is traveling next week to pick up their son!  Below is a picture of all her birthday treats and a few things we sent for foster mom (scarf, vitamins, memory card)! Charlie and Jerri Lynn made special cards for her and we sent her a photo album to introduce ourselves.  We hope to send a video of our family next time, so she can see us all! Sweet girl, we love you more than you know and can't wait for you to come join in the Jacobs' family!

Today we got our official acceptance to Korea!!!! So, we are officially starting the wait.  We pray that God will expedite her paperwork and she will be home sooner than we think! Happy Birthday AhRin!

FINALLY!

Our home study is finally approved!!!  Now, we can get 18 forms notarized and  overnighted to Dillon to get our ATK (Acceptance to Korea)!  It is our official Statement of Adoption, that we want Kim, AhRin to be our daughter!!  Thank you Lord for bringing this sweet girl into our lives and please hurry up her getting home!

CJ leaves in the morning at 8:00 to go out of town, so we have to get this notarized before then! Pray that we can get it done at the kids school!  We have to have done before he leaves or it will delay another week:(

Dance Recital 2014

Jerri Lynn had her 2nd Dance Recital ever! She was in 2 dances, pre-ballet and pre-tap! She was so beautiful and knew her dances so well, and smiled the whole time! She can't wait for next year!
